Designed to be the ultimate subwoofer available, the 2015 SMD Series of subwoofers are the finest high power subwoofer ever made. Steve Meade is the biggest force in the automotive audio industry and Ascendant Audio has worked with him for many years on his various systems and subwoofer needs. As a joint project, the new SMD Series is a progression from the last version increasing overall capability. Starting with the insane Super-Gauss motor we have revised the geometry to get even more motor force than ever before. Simply put, with dual flux path loops we can increase the motor strength through the secondary loop where a standard design can not. This technology results in smoother flux flow, decreased saturation, and overall increased linear performance. With the rigid foundation of the 6 spoke aluminum frame to hold it together, we have added our venturi cooling and central flux plate cooling channels to keep the coil functioning under high power conditions. With higher power handling and linearity, the 2015 SMD series is the new reference for both sound quality and brutality.
